Eco Style Tuesday - A Garden Experience to Remember

On Sunday 21st September 2025 we had the absolute pleasure of experiencing the stunning AL RU Farm Open Garden – established in 1979 and lovingly created by owners Alan & the late Ruth Irving 💚.

From wildflower meadows to tranquil lily ponds, fragrant rose gardens to shaded woodland walks – everywhere you turned there was beauty in bloom. Bulbs of every colour painted the landscape, and the atmosphere was made even more special with local market produce and fundraising efforts supporting the One Tree Hill CFS, the local church, and the wider community. It was an honour to see Catriona Rowntree from Channel 9’s Getaway officially open the event and interview Alan – a wonderful touch to an already unforgettable day. 🌸 A heartfelt thank you to Alan and to all the homeowners across South Australia who open their private gardens as part of Open Gardens SA. These events not only showcase the incredible horticultural treasures of our state but also bring people together to celebrate community, creativity, and nature.
