Eco-Style Tuesday | A Quiet Life, A Big Story - Australian wildlife

In the quiet of evening, a koala walks slowly along the footpath…
Not lost.
But searching.
Searching for familiar trees.
A safe hollow.
A place to belong.
Koalas are nocturnal mammals, and like all mammals, they give birth to tiny, underdeveloped young called joeys. After birth, the joey instinctively climbs into its mother’s pouch, where it continues to grow safely for around six months. When it emerges, it rides gently on her back, clinging to her fur as she moves through the trees — learning which eucalyptus leaves to eat and how to survive.
Their lives are deeply connected to healthy gum trees. Without established trees and connected habitat, they struggle to find food, shelter and safe pathways.
At Adelaide Style Accommodation, caring for nature is part of who we are — growing native trees with Trees For Life and nurturing butterfly gardens that support biodiversity.
Where this special moment was captured is something you’ll discover when you stay with us.
Because every tree matters.
Every habitat matters.
Every little life matters.
