History Friday......

As you know South Australia is a magnificent wine region. So wanted to share this little bit of history that showcases when vines were almost in what is now the heart of the City. When you are visiting Adelaide, South Australia next we encourage you to take a beautiful (easy) walk in the City of Marion area known as Marion Historic Village Heritage Walk (which is beautiful walk from the Marion Outdoor pool). On this walk you will see these old vines which are on display in a large area with a plaque that tells you a little history of these beautiful vines - "First wine grapes were planted about 1849. Vintages from about 1858-1906. Present vines planted about 1923 for table grape population." This is a beautiful historical, environmental walk that is easy and informative. So much history and art sculptures along the walk and you will see some amazing old gum trees that have environmental information on them about their age and what they contribute in the environment. Beautiful history, magnificent sounds of the local wildlife and the splendor of the trees will surely be a treat to remember. Adelaide Style Accommodation encourages to put this walk on your things to do when you visit our Great State and if you are looking for somewhere that is a "home away from home" we encourage you to look at our homes and book to stay. We have lots of little tips that may assist you to explore Adelaide in more detail. #accommodation #accomodation #Getaway #Adelaide #CityofAdelaide #CityofMarion #TicSA #Familyfriendly #history #walking #selfcontained #luxury #comfort #experience #trees #environment #arts #OaklandsHistoricalHomestead #fun #family #tourism #Marionoutdoorpool #bikeride #SouthAustralia #tourism
