Have you seen the breathtaking silos at Kingscote on beautiful Kangaroo Island?
This stunning artwork was created following community consultation and features wildlife deeply connected to KI ā including the Kangaroo Island kangaroo (a subspecies smaller and darker than mainland kangaroos) and the striking red-tailed glossy black cockatoo, a rare and endangered species whose habitat was significantly impacted during the 2020 fires.
Painted by renowned silo artists Cam Scale and Andrew (Andy) Davis and completed in January 2022, this artwork is more than paint on concrete wheat silos itās a tribute to resilience, wildlife, community and the natural beauty of South Australia.
