Tuesday night marked the spectacular launch of the South Australia's History Festival at iconic The Piccadilly Cinema in North Adelaide Precinct!

The evening unveiled local filmmaker Rob George's latest masterpiece, delving into the captivating history of 'The Advanced School for Girls', which was the first State secondary school in Australia. Telling the history of Madeline Rees George headmistress of the school & featuring an exclusive interview with Her Excellency, the Governor of South Australia, reflecting on her late aunt Dr. Helen Jones AM's remarkable contributions to women's history in our state.
