Did you know? The charming North Lodge cottage, situated close to the Friends' Gate, at the Adelaide Botanic Garden was built in 1866,

Nine years after the stunning Garden was opened to the public. The lodge was gas lit until electricity was installed in 1935.

This stunning #historical building is near the Friends Gate entrance of the Adelaide Botanic Garden and you can look through it and read about the #history and see #photographs and purchase gifts. Yes today it has some lovely volunteers from Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide.
