History Friday - Step Back in Time to South Australia's Centenary Year of 1936!

History Friday - Step Back in Time to South Australia's Centenary Year of 1936!

This week, our journey into South Australia's rich history took an exciting turn as we stumbled upon a treasure trove of memories.  We've just acquired a remarkable centenary book, filled with glimpses of the past that resonate deeply with our present. And as fate would have it, a visit to the majestic Adelaide Town Hall unveiled another chapter in this fascinating tale.

As we pored over the pages of the South Australia Centenary Book, we were transported back to all parts of the 100 year history, of transport, health, population, events etc. Then when attending an event at the stunning Adelaide Town Hall later in the week what did we discover?

Stepping through its grand doors, we were greeted by a breathtaking display nestled within the cabinets - the very Floral Pageant we had been seeking!  Each photograph was a window into the past, capturing the essence of a bygone era filled with joy and festivity.

But the magic didn't stop there. As we explored the halls of the Adelaide Town Hall, we couldn't help but be awestruck by its timeless beauty and storied past.  From royal visits to historic gatherings, every corner echoed with whispers of history.

In this moment, surrounded by the echoes of the past and the beauty of the present, we felt a profound connection to our city and its journey through time.
